On January 31, 2012 13 new members of the Science National Honor Society were inducted at the second annual Induction Ceremony. The Putnam Valley Science National Honor Society is a student-initiated chapter that has a great involvement in science education in our district under the advisement of Jason Horr, a science teacher at Putnam Valley High School. The SNHS runs a peer tutoring program within the high school, with goals of working in the middle school in the near future. Students in the SNHS are also actively working with the Elementary school to inspire students in the field of science and to assist in the development of experiments for the 4th grade annual science fair.
