Putnam Valley High School teacher, Mr. Craig Glenn, was selected as a “2009 Teacher of the Year” as a result of his student, Ryan Moynihan, submitting an essay to a national level writing competition that was sponsored by the Downtown Disney Resort Area Hotel Organization. Ryan’s essay, entitled “Teachers Who Make A Difference”, highlighted all the great things that Ryan sees in Mr. Glenn. Ryan’s essay was selected from hundreds of entries that were received from students from all over the United States. The Putnam Valley Board of Education recognized Ryan with “Pride In Putnam Valley” for his initiative in honoring and respecting his teacher. Mr. Glenn was also recognized by the Board of Education with the “Pride In Putnam Valley” honor for his dedication to his students.
