The Putnam Valley High School (PVHS) Music Department is very
proud to announce that junior flautist, Stephanie Stoisits, has been
accepted into the 2008 New York State School Music Association
(NYSSMA) All State Wind Ensemble. Stephanie is the daughter of Joe
and Carol Stoisits, of Putnam Valley.
PVHS instrumental music director Ryan Odell explained, “Stephanie
was one of thousands of students who auditioned for this honor last
spring and her acceptance places her as one of the best high school
flute players in all of New York State. It is a true honor for her, her
family, and our school district.”

Stephanie is only the second student from PVHS to be accepted into All State and the first junior/instrumentalist. She will travel to Rochester in December to represent Putnam Valley at the conference. Mr. Odell continued, “We congratulate Stephanie for her acceptance and wish her luck when the time comes for her to partake in what will be the experience of a lifetime. Thanks to all who help make these experiences possible for our kids.”
