The Parents As Reading Partners (PARP) program ran at the middle school from January 19 - February 12, 2010. The goal is to have students reading with parents and others to share their excitement for reading. Along with the many components to the K-8 program, the middle school has been doing Reading Buddies. During PARP, Reading Buddies are 5th graders paired up with 7th graders to read together once a week during DEAR time on Wednesday mornings. The students enjoyed reading to each other and talking about books. The teachers enjoyed watching the students being excited about reading.
