The Putnam Valley Board of Education recognized James Hertzel with Pride In Putnam Valley at their December 17, 2009 Business Meeting for his accomplishments as a Cross Country athlete. Jim achieved All League and All County designations this year as well as making it to the New York State championships for the second year in a row in only his second year of competition.
