Note to Community: First Class Mail Delayed

Dear Putnam Valley Community: 

On May 8, as required by NYS Education Department regulation, the Putnam Valley School District mailed the 2017-2018 Budget Notice via first class mail to ensure timely delivery to every resident. 

To our dismay, the mailed Budget Notice and the District Budget Newsletter did not arrive as promised by the employment of first class mail. 

We immediately notified the US Postal Service and initiated an investigation. It is our understanding that residents are still receiving the notice as late as May 26.  The investigation is ongoing and we have notified authorities at the local, state and federal level. 

As always, the Budget Notice/Newsletter is posted on the District's website and made available at various public locations.  In addition, we continue to encourage residents, who do not have children currently attending our schools, to sign up for periodic electronic communications.  Click here: https://goo.gl/forms/RJXiMmA8EFQA8tZb2. The link is also available on our website, pvcsd.org
